December 19, 2005

Welcome to the international meeting “Security of Archaeological Heritage”!
Dear colleagues,

May I take this opportunity to inform you that preparations of the meeting are going well and entirely correspond to our plans.

We would like to ask those of you who are going to organise a session or round table to propose it a bit earlier than in the last day before the deadline :) (that is – February 15, 2006).

If you are going to be a session or round table organiser please send us the following information in English:
full list of the organisers of the proposed session or round table, their affiliation and country;
title and abstract (no more than 300 words) of the proposed session or round table; we ask that you please use e-mail (and not fax) for sending an abstract;
e-mail address for paper proposals for your session or round table;
in case of session proposal – forecasted number of speakers;
in case of round table proposal – its forecasted general duration.

As for registration form and the appropriate payments – you can do it later (but according to the deadline of course). At the moment we ask you just to inform us about your proposal if you are going to organise a session or round table – thus we will get an opportunity to reserve the necessary amount of rooms in advance.

Also please take into consideration that the amount of rooms for sessions and round tables will be limited and so when all of them are reserved we will not be able to accept late proposals.

And the last thing which we would like to inform you of is the exhibition of archaeological books which were published recently in Russia. This exhibition will be present at our meeting and we would be grateful if you would inform us of your subject preferences. Thus you will help us to provide the best choice for you. Also you are welcome to order the particular archaeological publications which were published in Russia recently – we will try to get the ordered book up to the meeting (no prepayments are required). So please feel free to e-mail us your requests for Russian books exhibition. Thank you in advance for your cooperation!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

We are looking forward to meet you in St. Petersburg in May 2006!
